Does anyone know any unique chicken recipes?

I'm tired of the same ole chicken dishes , I need a unique chicken dish ASAP for Valentine!!!!!!!!!Does anyone know any unique chicken recipes?
I was in the same position as you, then I came across beer can chicken.(i know it sounds disgusting, but it isnt) What you do is take a beer that isn't low fat or light. Then stick the beer can up ';that one place'; of the chicken with the pop-top open. Season it and marinate it. Then put it on the BBQ and let it sit there for about 30 minutes more or less (check on it every few minuter) The flavoring of the beer will make it juciy tender, and delicious! I hope you enjoy! Happy Valentine's Day!

Here is the more specific directions:

Method: Indirect grilling

Special Equipment: 1 1/2 cups mesquite chips, soaked in cold water to cover for 1 hour and drained

Ingredients

1 large whole chicken (4 to 5 pounds)

3 tablespoons Basic Rub for Barbecue or your favorite dry barbecue rub

1 can (12 ounces) beer

Directions

1. Remove and discard the fat just inside the body cavities of the chicken. Remove the package of giblets, and set aside for another use. Rinse the chicken, inside and out, under cold running water. then drain and blot dry, inside and out, with paper towels. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the rub inside the body and neck cavities, then rub another 1 tablespoon all over the skin of the bird. If you wish, rub another 1/2 tablespoon of the mixture between the flesh and skin. Cover and refrigerate the chicken while you preheat the grill.

2. Set up the grill for indirect grilling, placing a drip pan in the center. If using a charcoal grill, preheat it to medium. If using a gas grill, place all the wood chips in the smoker box and preheat the grill to high; then, when smoke appears, lower the heat to medium.

3. Pop the tab on the beer can. Using a ';church key';-style can opener , make 6 or 7 holes in the top of the can. Pour out the top inch of beer, then spoon the remaining dry rub through the holes into the beer. Holding the chicken upright, with the opening of the body cavity down, insert the beer can into the cavity.

4. When ready to cook, if using charcoal, toss half the wood chips on the coals. Oil grill grate. Stand the chicken up in the center of the hot grate, over the drip pan. Spread out the legs to form a sort of tripod, to support the bird.

5. Cover the grill and cook the chicken, until fall-off-the-bone tender, 2 hours. If using charcoal, add 10 to 12 fresh coals per side and the remaining chips after 1 hour.

6. Using tongs, lift the bird to a cutting board or platter, holding a large metal spatula underneath the beer can for support. (Have the board or platter right next to the bird to make the move shorter. Be careful not to spill hot beer on yourself.) Let stand for 5 minutes before carving the meat off the upright carcass. (Toss the beer can out along with the carcass).

This can also be made in the oven indoors. The rack can be bought at walmart.

The only part you forgot was the onion or potato to close the other opening, thus keeping all that good moisture in. Report Abuse

Oriental Chicken and Papaya Salad with Honey Dressing

Try this exotic mix of sliced chicken breast with papaya, button mushrooms and spring onions all tossed in a heavenly spicy dressing using range blossom honey with mint. This dressing is a real reputation maker

Ingredients

(Serves 4)

4 medium chicken breasts, skin on

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 sticks celery, chopped

2 spring onions, chopped

2 papayas

100g (4oz) button mushrooms, sliced

4 spring onions, trimmed and cut on the slant

2 tablespoons orange blossom honey

Juice of a lemon

1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

2 tablespoons lemon olive oil

2 red chillies, seeded and chopped

2 tablespoons fresh mint, finely chopped

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Mint sprigs for decoration

Season the chicken breasts and place them in a pan with the celery and spring onions. And cover it all with water. Bring it to bubbling, then turn the heat down to simmer for 2 minutes. Cover the pan with a lid and turn off the heat. Leave the chicken to cool in the liquor 鈥?this ensures delicious, moist flesh.

Remove the cooled chicken from the liquor, then take the skin off and discard it. Slice the chicken thinly and put in a bowl. Peel, de-seed and slice the papayas and add to the chicken. Add the sliced mushrooms and spring onions.

For the dressing, place the honey in a bowl and stir in the lemon juice and white wine vinegar. Whisk in the lemon oil and add the chillies and mint. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Then pour the dressing over the chicken and mix and toss it well. Serve immediately, decorated with mint sprigs.
Not sure what same ole chicken dishes you make. Perhaps you can give us examples of what you make so we can recommend something for you.
My heritage is Hungarian, so I have a great Hungarian chicken recipe, called Chicken Paprika: What you'll need is chicken, cut up. Fry it in some oil, on both sides for about 30 minutes. Take the chicken out of the pan %26amp; drain most of the oil out, except for about a tablespoon. Chop a medium sized onion and fry it in the oil till almost see-through. Add a teaspoon of paprika (finding the Hungarian kind will add a special flavor...otherwise use the red stuff from the local grocery). Add 8 ounces of sour cream and about a half teaspoon of salt. Stir it all together with a whisk or fork until creamy. Add the chicken and continue to cook for another 30 minutes, turning half way through. Make sure it's covered while cooking the chicken. Before serving, spoon some of the sauce over each chicken piece. You can use the sauce over baked or mashed potatoes, or noodles. Enjoy. %26lt;*)))%26gt;%26lt;
Chicken Divan!!

IT is chicken brocoli and cheese casserole it is so GOOOD. and healthy!!!
chicken enchiladas, chicken quesadillas, chicken masala, chicken w/ mango salsa, chicken fritatta
I do have an easy one...

Let's talk about 1/2 KG of chicken.

You have to fry on butter - one by one, the chicken breast. I cut them in slices of a regular size and put salt and pepper on them before fry them.

Mix in the blender - Philadelphia cream cheese 100 gr , cream 1/2 cup, milk 1/2 cup, and 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, you can add more milk, if it gets too thick.

Put all the pieces of chicken in the pan again, dont take away the butter, that migth be a little burned, and put the mix over them. Then you just have to let them cook for about another 25 min, on a low fire.

You have to be aware, and move constantly.

I serve it just with brocoli and carrots, and spaguetti.
This is Called Kabsa, it's an Arabic dish you can prepare either with meat or chicken breasts.

- Cut boneless chicken breasts into medium cubes and heat butter and add the chicken until they are cooked

( you might need to add some water )

- Add ginger, curry, cloves, salt, pepper, cumin and sip of nutmeg.

- Add one tablespoon tomato paste and then add the water for rice.

- If you are using basmate Rice, add 2 cups of water for every cup of rice, if not add 1 cup of water for every cup of rice.

- when water boils, add the rices after washing it, let boil for a while and then cover and reduce the heat.

- Leave until all done.

- We garnesh this with nuts that has been heated with butter ( Raisins, almond - peeled and cut into halves)

For peeling the almond, heat with water until boil, let for a while and then you will find the cover is being removed easily.

Enjoy
I enjoy chicken marsala...just get campbells cream of mushroom soup, some white wine and simmer with the chicken. Serve on top of boiled noodles...angel hair works better but I've always loved it, too. Put some fresh mozzarella cheese on the noodles, spinach on the cheese, and chicken on the spinach topwith some more sauce and it's divine.

My family also likes chicken breasts with melted cheddar cheese and bacon on top with mashed potatoes on the side.

There's also the stuffed chicken. Get a drum stick, debone it, and put sausage, tomatoes, spinach and a bit of basil. Bake for 30 minutes and it's good, too.

Also, you can get a flour tortilla, put some tomato sauce on the tortilla, sprinkle some cheddar cheese, along with chicken, chopped and seasoned with paprika, chile powder, garlic powder, and pepper, put in the oven at 400 for about 5 minutes and you have a Mexican pizza...my kids love these and you only have to make one because they really do fill you up!

Hope these help!

While not terribly unique, my favorite casserole falls in the category of comfort food. Just cook up some rice, chicken, veggied (broc and cauliflower), sharp cheddar cheese, mix it all together with a can of broc%26amp;cheese soup, top with breadcrumbs and bake until the breadcrumbs brown.
Try this one out if you want. I created it myself down in south beach. French cut chicken Breast/long beans/sweet plantains and a Tangerine BuerBlanc sauce.

1st get ancho chilies, dry them out in the oven. Blend them til they're flour like. Season chicken. Salt, pepper, ancho powder. Sear skin down til skin is crispy. Next get both yello and green plantains.Dice the green plantains, cook in salted water with 1 cinnamon stick, 1 bay leaf, 5 black pepper corns, and 4 star anise. cook til soft.Next dice the yello plantains, deep fry them til dark and sweet. Pat dry, season w/salt. Then get chinese LongBeans, blanch in salted water,1 minute. Tie both ends together, so to make a circle. Let stand. Next get Tangerine Juice. Reduce with 1/2 cup sugar,1 lemongrass,1 ginger, 1/2 bunch cilantro, 6 white pepper corns 3 cloves garlic. When sauce comes down to syrup consistency add 1/2 cup heavy cream. Reduce on low heat, then stain through a fine china cap, save sauce.

Check chicken. Lay down on center of plate LongBeans, next combine both plantains, slice chicken on a hard bias. Spoon sauce around plate. enjoy
